Faith Roberts, LCSW

Hello, I'm Faith. There are many reasons people begin therapy; the most important one is yours. I may be able to empathize or understand things in your situation, but your perspective is all your own. Your reasons are valid, and whatever your struggle, it is real. The most successful therapeutic relationship is one where we work together to find and help you achieve your goals. It is not always easy work, but when you are truly ready, it can bring incredibly powerful and lasting change.

I come to this work with an open heart and a wealth of personal and professional experience that lends to my practice. I've worked in non-profits focused around helping build self-esteem and confidence. I've worked in roles that respond to folks experiencing crisis in need of resources and complex problem solving. I've worked in corporations helping clients with intense medical issues to navigate through insurance and providers to get the care they need. Before stepping into private practice, I was a mental health provider in the educational setting, supporting students, families, and staff to successfully navigate challenges in the school environment resulting from varying degrees of disability and mental health needs.

I see the therapeutic relationship as a collaboration where I will likely learn from you as much as you learn from me. Some of my specialties include anxiety, grief, life transitions, trauma, and the particular challenges folx experience in the LGBTQIA+ community. Additionally, I have experience working with clients dealing with stress, family and intimate relationships, ADHD, gender identity, depression, bipolar disorder, perinatal support, PTSD, and suicidal ideation or self-harming behaviors.

It can be hard to find the right therapist; there needs to be something in your gut that says, 'this is the right person.' You need to feel you are in a safe harbor and I pride myself on being just that.
